Qualifying Explanatory Statement QES
A Qualifying Explanatory Statement (QES) is an official statement or declaration of achievement that contains all the required information on the carbon neutrality of a particular organisation.
PAS 2060 requires a QES. The QES must be publicly disclosed along with all carbon neutrality supporting documentation.
Example QES declaration of achievement:
“Carbon neutrality of business activities achieved by [organisation name] in accordance with PAS 2060 at [date] for the period commencing [date], [validating body] certified.
